Share text online — paste it, get a link

Paste any text and get a link to a clean, readable page. Line breaks stay where you put them, and nobody needs an account — not you, not the person you send it to.

Paste your text

Plain text or Markdown. Line breaks are kept — what you paste is what they read.

Visibility

Some text is too long for a chat message and too small for a document: meeting notes, a list of instructions, an address and directions, a draft you want someone to read before you send it. Pasting it into a chat flattens it into a scroll; attaching a file makes the reader download something just to read a few paragraphs.

Paste it here instead and you get a link that opens as a plain, readable web page on any phone or computer. Your line breaks are kept exactly, so a list stays a list and an address stays on four lines. If you happen to write Markdown, that works too — **bold**, # headings and lists render as you would expect. There is no sign-up to publish and no sign-in to read.

How to share text online

  1. 1.

Paste your text into the box above. The preview shows the page exactly as the reader will see it.

  2. 2.

Choose who can find it. Private means only people with the link can open it; Public on Explore also lists it where others can browse. Public is selected unless you change it.

  3. 3.

Publish, copy the link and send it wherever you like — a chat, an email, a text message, a QR code.

A real example

A volunteer coordinator needs to get the same arrival instructions to thirty people across three group chats and an email list: the address on its own lines, which entrance to use, where to park, and a numbered list of what to bring. Pasted straight into a group chat, the numbered list arrives as one block and the address runs into the parking note.

She pastes the same text here instead, checks the preview — address on four lines, list intact — sets it to Private, and sends one link to every channel. When the parking changes the day before, she opens the edit link from the success panel, fixes one line, and the same link now shows the new instructions. Nobody has to scroll back for the right message.

Questions about share text online

Does the person I send it to need an account?

No. The link opens as an ordinary web page in any browser, with nothing to install and nothing to sign in to. You do not need an account to publish either.

Who can see my text?

That depends on the visibility you pick before publishing. Private pages can only be opened by someone who has the link. Public on Explore pages can also be found by anyone browsing Explore. Public is pre-selected, so choose Private if the text is only for the people you send it to. Either way, do not put passwords or other secrets in a shared page.

How long does a shared text link stay up?

On the free plan a Private page lasts 3 days and a Public page 7 days. You can extend a page before it expires, and on a paid plan links are permanent and can be password-protected. See what happens when a page expires.

Can I change the text after I have shared the link?

Yes. The success panel gives you an edit link, and it is also kept in this browser under Your links on the home page. Open it, change the text, and the same URL shows the new version — there is no second link to send. How edit links work covers the details.

I want to turn text into a clickable link — is this the right page?

Not quite. This page turns a block of text into a page with its own link. If you want a word or phrase to become a clickable hyperlink in a web page or an email, the HTML link generator writes the <a> tag for you.

Keep your links forever

Free links last 7 days with a free account. On a paid plan every page you create stays online permanently.
