Turn Google AI Studio output into a link you can send

AI Studio deploys apps to Cloud Run, and your first two are free. For the third — and for anything that is one page rather than an app — paste the HTML here and you have a URL.

Paste your AI Studio HTML

Interactive pages keep running — scripts are enabled in the published sandbox. Free link, no account.

Visibilidade

Google AI Studio is unusually good at producing a finished, self-contained page — a dashboard, a quiz, a small canvas game, a chart that actually runs. Its own publish path is real and worth knowing: the Starter Tier deploys your first two full-stack apps to Cloud Run with no Google Cloud project and no credit card. What it is not is unlimited or lightweight. Past those two, publishing means a Cloud project with billing enabled, and every deploy — even of a single static page — produces a running Cloud Run service you now own and are expected to look after. When the thing you actually want is "let one person look at this page", copy the HTML out of the code block and paste it here instead: a link, no project, no service to decommission afterwards.

From AI Studio to a shareable URL

  1. 1.

In AI Studio, copy the generated HTML from the code block — the whole document, starting at the doctype, not a screenshot and not a fragment.

  2. 2.

Paste it above. The preview runs the page exactly as your recipient will get it, so you can confirm the interactive parts survived the move before anyone else sees it.

  3. 3.

Publish and send the URL. It opens in any browser with no Google account, no Cloud project, and nothing to install.

Um exemplo real

Say you used AI Studio to build a one-page interactive budget calculator: a few sliders, a live-updating total, and a chart, all in a single HTML file with the CSS and JavaScript inlined. In the AI Studio response, hit the copy control on the code block so you take the whole document from the opening <!doctype html> down. Paste it into the box above and the preview runs it — sliders move, the chart draws — because published HTML renders inside a sandboxed frame with scripts enabled rather than being flattened to static markup. Publish, and send the link to the person who asked for the calculator. They open it on a phone on the train and it behaves the same. The one category that will not survive the trip is an app that calls the Gemini API with your own key: AI Studio runs that against credentials tied to your project, and a published page has neither those credentials nor any business holding them. Anything self-contained travels; anything that phones home to your API key does not.

Perguntas sobre share a Google AI Studio app as a link

Why not just use the publish button inside Google AI Studio?

Often you should. The Starter Tier gives you two free deploys with no Cloud project and no card, and for an app you intend to keep and iterate on it is the right tool. Two things push the other way. Past those first two apps you need a Cloud project with billing enabled — the free "no billing setup" project cannot publish. And a deploy creates a Cloud Run service, which is a heavier object than a page: something that exists, has a lifecycle, and eventually wants cleaning up. For a page shown once to three people, that is the wrong unit of work.

Do interactive AI Studio pages still work, or do they go static?

Interactive pages keep working. Published HTML renders in a sandboxed, opaque-origin frame that permits scripts, so the JavaScript AI Studio wrote for your sliders, canvas, chart, or game runs for the person opening the link. What the sandbox deliberately withholds is same-origin access — so browser storage and anything that assumes it owns the page’s origin will not behave the way it did in the AI Studio preview.

What happens to an app that calls the Gemini API?

It will not function once published, and that is the correct outcome. In AI Studio those calls run against an API key attached to your account. Publishing the page as-is would mean either shipping that key inside the HTML where any visitor can read it, or shipping a page whose requests fail. Strip the API call and publish the interface, or keep model-backed apps inside AI Studio and share this way only the parts that stand on their own.

Does the person I send it to need a Google account?

No. That is usually the reason people go looking for this in the first place. A published link is an ordinary public web page: no sign-in wall, no Google Workspace membership, no access request email for you to approve. Free links stay live for seven days, which covers the usual show-someone-this-thing window. If it needs to outlive that, a paid plan makes the link permanent under a slug you choose so it can be bookmarked.

Does publishing an app from Google AI Studio cost anything?

Publishing inside AI Studio is tied to a Google account and, for anything beyond a trial, to Google Cloud billing — the app runs against your API quota, so what it costs depends on how much the people you send it to use it. That is a reasonable deal for an app you are launching and a poor one for a page you want three colleagues to look at once. Publishing the generated HTML here costs nothing and carries no quota, because the page is served as a page: the layout, the styling and any browser-side JavaScript run for the reader exactly as built. What does not come along is anything that calls the Gemini API at runtime, which needs a key and therefore needs to stay in AI Studio.
