Five ways to host HTML for free, by what you actually have

This search covers two completely different needs that share a phrase. Some people have one finished file and want a URL; some want a free web host in the old sense — FTP, cPanel, a database. Both are below, split by what is on your disk rather than by feature count. No price figures for the others: free-tier limits change often enough that any number here would go stale.

dochost

Best for one self-contained file
Free tier
No account; links live 7 days
Paid from
Pro $7/mo — permanent links, custom slug, password protect

Paste the markup or drop the .html file and a URL comes back in seconds. Nothing to configure, nothing to install, and the JavaScript in the file still runs. One file only — no FTP, no database, and a free link expires after seven days.

GitHub Pages

Best when the site already lives in git
Free tier
Public repositories, custom domain supported
Paid from
Not needed for static hosting

If your HTML is already a repository, this is the least work and the most permanent: push, enable Pages, done. It is a genuinely better answer than we are for anything you intend to keep and keep editing. You need a GitHub account and some comfort with git — a steep detour if you just want to send one page to a client.

Neocities

Best for a personal site you want to keep
Free tier
Free tier with a subdomain and a web editor
Paid from
Supporter tier for custom domains and more space

A free host in the older, friendlier sense: you get a space, a file manager and a site that stays put. Well suited to a homepage, a fan page or anything with no deadline. Static files only, and the culture is personal sites rather than client deliverables.

Netlify Drop

Best for a folder with CSS and images
Free tier
Drag a whole folder, no repository needed
Paid from
Paid plans once it becomes a team or a real project

The right answer when your page is not one file. Drop the directory and the relative paths to /css and /images keep working, which is exactly the case a single-file host cannot serve. The link is anonymous and easy to lose unless you claim it with an account.

Classic free web hosts

Best when you genuinely need PHP and a database
Free tier
Free tiers with FTP, cPanel and MySQL
Paid from
Cheap shared hosting once the free limits bite

If what you actually want is the traditional thing — upload over FTP, run some PHP, keep a database — none of the options above do that, and a free shared host is the honest fit. Expect ads, aggressive inactivity suspension and slow support; the free tier is a sales funnel.

No, y conviene decirlo claro.
