Send an AI-generated report to a client as a link

A PDF attachment is a dead end and a chat transcript is not a deliverable. Publish the report as a page the client opens, on a URL that is not in search results.

Add a password, keep it out of search, send one link instead of an attachment.

Consultants, agencies, and small firms increasingly draft client deliverables with an AI assistant and then lose an hour to packaging: export to Word, fix the formatting the export broke, save as PDF, attach, hope it opens on their phone. A self-contained HTML report skips that entirely — it already looks the way it should, it reflows on a phone, and a link is easier to open than an attachment that a mail filter may quarantine. The reason to publish it somewhere neutral rather than using an AI tool’s own share button is that client work has names and numbers in it, and share pages from the major AI tools have already been caught leaking into Google.

Cómo funciona compartir send an AI-generated report to a client

  1. 1.

Copy the output straight from your AI tool — the raw HTML or markdown, not a screenshot. There is no file to save and no app to install first.

  2. 2.

Paste it into the box above. The preview renders it the way the recipient will see it, so you can confirm the formatting before you share.

  3. 3.

Create the link and send it. Whoever you send it to opens a clean, read-only page in their browser — on a laptop or a phone — with nothing else from your chat attached.

Un ejemplo real

A two-person consultancy delivers a monthly performance review to each of eleven clients. The report is generated as one HTML document — headings, a summary table, three charts drawn in JavaScript, and a recommendations section. Previously it went out as a PDF, which meant the charts were flat images and any client question triggered a new export-and-resend cycle. Published as a page instead, each client gets a link where the charts render live. Because these documents name client companies and quote their revenue, two settings do the compliance work: a password on each report, and the noindex directives that every published page carries by default, so a client’s name plus a distinctive phrase never surfaces a competitor’s report in search. The firm keeps these on a paid plan so the links are permanent and each one sits at a stable, readable slug — a client who bookmarks last quarter’s review still finds it there.

Preguntas sobre send an AI-generated report to a client

Is a link really more professional than a PDF attachment?

For a document with tables, charts, or anything interactive, a page usually presents better than a PDF, because it reflows on a phone instead of forcing the reader to pinch and pan a fixed A4 layout. It also avoids the attachment problems you never see: size limits, mail-gateway quarantine, and the client who cannot find the file three weeks later. Send the link and keep a PDF export for the clients who explicitly want one for their records.

How do I stop a client report from being publicly readable?

Put a password on it — a paid-plan feature, and the usual reason client work ends up on one. The URL alone then does not open the document, so a forwarded link outside the client’s organisation is inert without the password. Independently of that, all published pages carry noindex directives in both the response headers and the page metadata, so they do not appear in search results even when no password is set.

Can I update a report after sending it, or does the link change?

Signed-in pages can be edited in place, so corrections land at the same URL and the link you already sent keeps working. This is the practical reason to publish while logged in for client work: a typo in a figure becomes a two-minute fix rather than an apologetic email with a second attachment.

What happens to the link if I stop paying?

Free links expire seven days after publishing, and that is the behaviour a link reverts to rather than being deleted outright. For recurring client deliverables the honest recommendation is to stay on a paid plan while those documents need to stay reachable — permanence is exactly what you are buying, and a client bookmark that breaks is worse than no bookmark.
